Australian designer Morag Grealy is the creator of the up-and-coming label Mary Morag.

Morag has been working in and around fashion roles for 15 years. From humble beginnings as a magazine intern, she went on to launch a vintage brand and contribute fashion content across London, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Sydney and Europe.

During COVID and in her 30s, Morag completed a fashion design course, building on and perfecting her skills in fashion illustration, pattern making and industrial sewing. This formal training laid the groundwork for establishing her own brand.

The name Mary Morag is an homage to Morag's grandmother Nancy, who she learned the craft of sewing from at an early age. Nancy gave each of her five daughter's the first name Mary. Morag adopted Mary Morag as her brand name to continue the spirit of her family's influence and honour the people who first taught her how to sew.
