A RESORT ROBE

To complement the swimwear in my final fashion school assessment, I was tasked with creating a cover-up to complete the resort look.

Drawing inspiration from the 'Masked Ball' concept by Promostyl, which celebrates bold, flamboyant and conspicuous fashion, I designed this piece for a customer named Ava, who was getting ready for a trip to Fiji.

The cover-up I created is a sheer silk chiffon robe with a statement flounce trim. To add to the dramatic effect of this focal point, I inserted fishing line into the edges of the frill, giving it an unmissable 'curly' appearance. The robe also features oversized flare sleeves, enhancing its extravagant aesthetic.

I envisioned this piece as the perfect pairing to my swimsuit and a true embodiment of the spirit of my concept and customer profile. I always pictured it poolside, with a cocktail in hand and mule high heels, creating a look that is both fabulous and party-ready.

A BIG thank you to my model, Bronte for showcasing this piece so beautifully on the runway.
